Favorite outdoor book you have read recently
Finished one on early western exploration and it changed how I look at maps. Looking for recommendations that are not just survival manuals.

Unpopular outdoor opinion
Sunrise is overrated and most of the best light happens an hour after most people have packed up. Also, most trips are two days too long. What is yours?

Say something nice about a place most people skip
Nebraska's Sandhills. Empty, strange, quiet, and the night sky is as good as anywhere in the west. Who else has a sleeper region?

What should The Wild10 cover next?
I would love more content on shoulder-season trip planning and honest long-term gear reviews at the two- and three-year marks. What are you missing on the site?

How do you keep the outdoors in your life during a busy stretch?
Kids, work, and travel have cut my trips in half this year. Sub-24 hour overnights and a weekly walk have kept me sane. What works for you?

Photo thread: post your last trip
Doesn't matter if it is a big alpine basin or a city park with good light. I want to see what everyone has been doing this month.

The gear closet purge thread
Sold or donated eleven items last month and I do not miss a single one. Owning less gear made me use the good stuff more. Anyone else done this?

Best day I have had outdoors this year
A four mile walk with my kid where we found a shed antler and ate lunch on a rock for two hours. Beat every big trip I took. Post yours.
