No. We review every sample honestly and publish what we find, labeling whether it was field-tested or researched. A featured slot guarantees visibility and a full review, not a favorable verdict. Makers must acknowledge this before applying.
What kinds of gear do you accept?
Camping, backpacking, bushcraft, survival, paddling, fishing, climbing, and outdoor-adjacent tools and apparel. We especially like gear from small, under-the-radar makers.
How long does the featured spot last?
Each approved review is featured on our home page for 90 days from the publish date. The review page itself — with links to your product — stays up indefinitely.
Do I get the sample back?
No. Samples become test units for long-term evaluation and photography. Do not send anything you need returned.
Can I submit more than one product?
Yes, but start with one. After the first review is live, you can apply for additional products.
