Terms of use

Last updated: July 15, 2026

These terms describe the rules for using Wild10Basecamp (wild10.com) and the content and tools we publish. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. Who we are

Wild10Basecamp is an independent outdoor editorial and gear-planning site. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by History Channel, A+E Networks, the producers of Alone, or any contestant. All show names, trademarks, and images are the property of their respective owners; we use them for editorial reference only.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, server, or system.
  • Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the site with automated tools beyond what a normal browser or search-engine crawler would request.
  • Upload, post, or submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, infringing, or misleading.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the site, its servers, or its networks.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

3. Accounts and user content

When you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. If you post content (builds, reviews, comments, gear suggestions), you keep ownership of it, but you grant Wild10Basecamp a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and adapt it in connection with operating and promoting the site.

We may remove any user content that violates these terms or that we believe is harmful, without notice.

4. Intellectual property

All original editorial content on Wild10Basecamp — including articles, guides, photography we produce, illustrations, and code — is © Wild10Basecamp unless otherwise credited. You may share links to our pages and quote short excerpts with attribution. You may not republish full articles, mirror the site, or use our content to train commercial AI models without written permission.

Third-party images, marks, and quoted material remain the property of their respective owners and are used under fair use or with attribution where noted.

5. Affiliate and advertising disclosures

Wild10Basecamp participates in affiliate programs (including Amazon Associates and outdoor-retailer programs). When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. See our affiliate disclosure for details.

We also display ads served by Google AdSense and other partners. Ads are labeled and separated from editorial content. Product recommendations are based on our editorial judgment, not on ad revenue. See our editorial policy.

6. No professional advice — outdoor safety

The content on Wild10Basecamp is provided for general information and educational purposes. Outdoor activity carries inherent risk. Weather, terrain, wildlife, permits, skill, physical condition, and equipment all vary. Nothing on this site is a substitute for professional instruction, guiding, medical advice, legal advice, or local regulations. You are solely responsible for your own decisions in the field.

7. Disclaimers

The site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wild10Basecamp and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the site or its content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed one hundred United States dollars (USD 100).

9. Third-party links

The site links to third-party retailers, brands, and reference sources. We don't control those sites, and we're not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices. Following an outbound link is at your own discretion.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the site or your account at any time if you violate these terms, if required by law, or for operational reasons. You may stop using the site at any time.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted when practical. Continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Wild10Basecamp is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
