The pack body uses a rugged ripstop fabric reinforced with ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene yarns, giving it exceptional tear resistance against abrasive granite and branches. Seamless edge-taping on the shoulder harness prevents chafing along the collarbones, while dual sternum straps and elastic side-compression cords anchor the load directly to your torso. In motion, the pack stays remarkably stable, distributing the weight of water, layers, and emergency gear without the vertical oscillation that plagues standard daypacks.

That alpine-grade toughness comes with standard fastpacking compromises. The dense main compartment fabric traps considerably more back heat than open-mesh trail running packs, making it warm during midsummer heat.
