Delta Zip Wader

Sitka built the Delta Zip Wader to solve the core frustration of active waterfowling: sweating through long marsh walks only to freeze once stationary. Constructed around an ultra-durable GORE-TEX Pro shell, these waders bypass the bulky, swampy nature of standard neoprene in favor of breathable waterproof protection. The centerpiece is the heavy-duty, submersible front zipper, anchored to an athletic cut that prioritizes range of motion over loose, baggy excess.

In the field, that front zip fundamentally changes daily use. Dumping heat on steep ditch climbs is effortless, and answering nature's call no longer requires shedding your jacket, blind bag, and harness. The attached LaCrosse boots provide dependable traction in slick mud and just enough insulation for cold water without feeling cumbersome. Because the shell itself holds no thermal value, cold-weather hunts mandate dedicated fleece or synthetic base layers underneath, though the patterned knees and gusseted crotch accommodate thick undergarments without binding.

Durability stands up to beaver stobs, cockleburs, and flooded timber that typically shred lighter breathable fabrics. Sitka also engineered the boots to be completely replaceable through their repair center, extending the functional lifespan of an otherwise premium investment. They carry a steep price tag compared to traditional waders, but for guides and hunters spending dozens of days in the marsh, the comfort, ventilation, and durability justify the spend.
