Equinox Guard Vest

Designed specifically for early-season archery and warm-weather hunts, this piece addresses the dual threats of biting insects and thermal regulation. It is cut trim to mirror an archer's torso without impeding shoulder extension or interfering with a bowstring during full draw. Rather than acting as a traditional thermal insulator, it serves as an ultra-functional protective barrier, keeping the core covered and gear organized while traversing tick-infested brush and humid timber.

The build relies on a high-density mechanical stretch textile treated with Insect Shield permethrin to physically and chemically deter ticks, chiggers, and mosquitoes. Breathability remains a priority; vapor-permeable panels prevent overheating during brisk stalks to the stand, while the brushed exterior face dampens surface noise against tree bark and pack straps. Storage is purposefully minimal, utilizing low-profile zippered chest and hand pockets that stow wind checkers, diaphragms, or rangefinders flat against the ribs.

Because this garment prioritizes insect defense and athletic mobility, it offers negligible wind-blocking and minimal thermal loft. Late-season hunters will need to swap it out for dedicated fleece or lofted down when ambient temperatures plunge. However, for early autumn whitetail outings and humid spring turkey stalks where ticks and heat dictate comfort, it delivers specialized vector protection and stealth that standard utility vests fail to match.
