Equinox Turkey Vest

Sitka approached the traditional turkey vest not as an oversized pocket-caddy, but as an ergonomic, load-bearing pack frame tailored for mobile hunters. Built around an adjustable harness system, the Equinox Turkey Vest strips away the cumbersome bulk common to classic sit-and-wait designs. It is aimed directly at run-and-gun hunters who cover serious ground across ridges, timber, and pastures without wanting loose gear rattling against their ribs.

Construction centers on durable, quiet synthetic face fabrics treated to shed light moisture, backed by a drop-down dual-density foam seat that deploys cleanly and cinches securely out of the way during fast hikes. Storage is strictly purpose-driven: dedicated silent magnetic pockets house pot calls, box calls, and strikers without relying on noisy hook-and-loop fasteners. The rear pocket expands to haul decoys or a harvested bird, while internal hydration routing ensures sustained comfort when spring temperatures climb.

While priced at the upper tier of the category, the vest justifies its cost through balance and stability under load. It wears closer to an alpine daypack than a sagging canvas vest, distributing weight cleanly across the torso rather than pulling down on the neck. Hunters needing deep, general-purpose cargo pockets or high-volume upland bird storage will find the layout overly specialized, but for dedicated spring pursuit where stealth and mobility dictate success, it sets a high standard.
