PSA Custom Recurve

The Black Widow PSA Custom Recurve is an uncompromising takedown bow built for traditional archers who prioritize stability and shot repeatability over sheer featherweight portability. Handcrafted around a 16-inch riser featuring the company's signature forward-handle geometry, the PSA places the pivot point of the grip ahead of the limb mountings. This design inherently resists torque and offers exceptional forgiveness on less-than-perfect releases, making it one of the most mechanically forgiving hunting recurves on the market.

Construction is dense and purpose-built. Available in multiple wood configurations reinforced with structural phenolic laminates, the riser carries substantial physical mass weight. This mass settles quickly in the hand and soaks up residual vibration, though it produces a distinctly solid, unmistakable sound on release that requires careful tuning and heavy arrow builds to fully quiet down. The rear-mounting limb system ensures positive alignment and reliable takedown convenience, maintaining zero through seasons of rough field transport.

At this price tier, you are paying for custom heirloom craft and hand-tuned tolerances rather than mass-produced modularity. While modern ILF carbon setups offer greater adjustability and weigh significantly less on high-mileage backcountry treks, the PSA provides bombproof reliability and an instinctive sight picture that few factory rigs can replicate. It remains a definitive investment piece for the dedicated whitetail hunter or traditional field competitor.
