In the field, the Downpour performs reliably for its intended purpose. The fit is relatively standard, allowing for light layering underneath without feeling overly baggy. The hood is adjustable and provides decent coverage, though it’s not designed to go over a large climbing helmet. Breathability, while present, is typical for a 2.5-layer membrane; you'll still build up some internal moisture during high-exertion activities.
