Its stiff sole and durable upper materials are immediately noticeable. The Perwanger suede leather, combined with protective rands and a Gore-Tex Performance Comfort lining, creates a formidable shell that offers reliable waterproofing and abrasion resistance in harsh conditions, though it's not the most breathable option on warmer days. The 3D Lacing system, extending down to the toe, allows for a precise fit across varied foot shapes, which is critical for climbing performance and preventing blisters on long ascents.

Out in the field, the Vultur Evo shines on mixed terrain. The stiff Vibram WTC outsole provides excellent edging capabilities and secure purchase on rock, while also accommodating C2 automatic crampons without issue for glacier travel and ice climbing. The heel and toe welts are solid, ensuring a secure crampon attachment. While the boot's stiffness is a major asset for front-pointing and support, it does make them less comfortable for long approaches over flat ground compared to more flexible hiking boots.
