TD Recurve

Custom and semi-custom recurves occupy a distinct space between mass-market production bows and wall-hanging display pieces. The Tall Tines TD Recurve is built squarely for the traditional hunter and field shooter who values a tailored feel, natural pointability, and quiet manners. Its three-piece takedown architecture provides the packability needed for travel without sacrificing the rigid, vibration-damping mass of a one-piece wooden riser.

Crafted using dense hardwoods and structural phenolic accents, the riser anchors laminated limbs that blend wood or bamboo cores with modern fiberglass. The limb profile creates an exceptionally smooth draw cycle that pulls evenly across typical hunting draws, avoiding the sudden wall or stacking common in shorter factory recurves. At release, the mass in the riser absorbs residual energy, yielding a shot that is remarkably soft in the hand and quiet off the shelf with minimal need for heavy string dampeners.

Against production takedowns like the Bear Kodiak or modular metal ILF rigs, this platform trades universal limb swapping for bespoke balance and acoustic stealth. Like any fine wood tool, it demands mindful care in wet weather and represents a higher financial threshold than assembly-line options. For archers committed to instinctive shooting who prioritize a dead-in-hand finish over mechanical adjustability, it remains an exceptional field instrument.
