The insulation is strategically mapped, with more in the core and less in the arms, optimizing for mobility and reducing bulk. Its Tyono 20 denier face fabric provides decent wind resistance and sheds light precipitation well enough for a quick dash through a shower, though it's not a true hardshell. Arc'teryx has continually refined the fit, making it adaptable as an outer layer in cool, dry conditions or as a highly functional mid-layer under a shell when the weather turns.
