What is the show?
Mountain Men is a HISTORY reality series following people who make a living from the land — hunting, trapping and using traditional skills to put up food and income before winter catches them. It has followed trappers, homesteaders and bush pilots across Appalachia, the Rocky Mountains and Alaska, filming where they actually live and work rather than putting contestants through a temporary survival challenge. The show premiered May 31, 2012 and is still running, with fifteen seasons on air as of October 2026.
