Lake Louise is the most central hub for many of the Parkway's popular climbs. The ideal season is typically November through March, with December and January often providing the best conditions. Snowpack can be a significant factor, with heavier snow making approaches more challenging. Skill levels vary wildly from beginner-friendly top-roping opportunities to highly committing expeditions.
